Aluminium foil (or aluminum foil) is aluminium prepared in thin metal leaves with a thickness less than 0.0045 to 0.2 mm . Aluminum foil has excellent density, good water resistance and anti-air permeability, may also be exposed to high temperatures without deforming or melting, etc. therefore can be used in various fields of business, packaging,automotive and construction, etc.
Aluminium foil has unique deadfold characteristics which make it ideal for wrapping and re-wrapping many different products and product shapes, while minimising the need for sealants. Because it is very malleable it can be easily deformed without losing its barrier integrity, making it an ideal material for use in combination with other flexible substrates to create very thin laminates for a variety of markets and consequently, again, save resources.
Surface characteristics of aluminum foil
a) The foil shall be commercially free of tears, splits, slivers, firactures, cuts, fingerprints, insects, dust,dirt and other foreign materials consistent with good production practices.
b)Web shall be free of corrosion and staining (oil or water).
c)Foil shall be matte one side. The matte surface shall be uniformly dull with no streaks or broken mat
d)Surface shall be free of herringbone or chatter marks.Web to be essentially free of roll holes, etc.
e)Wettability -Grade A for O temper.
