Etched and Anodized Aluminum foil for capacitor

Formed foil is a product made of a special high-purity aluminum foil that is electrochemically or chemically corroded to expand its surface area, and then is electrochemically formed to form an oxide film (aluminum trioxide) on the surface. According to voltage, formed aluminum foil is generally divided into four types: extremely low voltage, low voltage, medium high voltage and high voltage. According to thickness, it ranges from 25-110 microns; according to use, there are Anode aluminum foil and cathode aluminum foil

Electronic aluminum foil is aluminum foil for electrolytic capacitors, which can be divided into anode foil and negative electrode foil. Anode foil refers to the aluminum foil used as the anode in electrolytic capacitors. The anode foil is not only etched but also anodized during the capacitor production process, so it is also called chemical foil in capacitor manufacturers. Regarding the voltage regulations for anode foil, Japan stipulates that low voltage is 6.3V~100V, medium voltage is 110V~250V, and high voltage is greater than 250V; Europe and the United States stipulate that less than 160V is low voltage, and greater than 160V is high voltage; my country's National Electronics Industry Standard (SJ/T11140- 1997) stipulates that the voltage between 7.7V and 170V is low voltage, and the voltage between 170V and above is medium and high voltage. Negative foil refers to the aluminum foil used as the negative electrode in electrolytic capacitors. The cathode in the aluminum electrolytic capacitor is essentially an electrolyte paste, and the negative electrode foil is the lead of the cathode, so it is customary to mix the cathode (negative) electrode foils. Negative electrode foils are also divided into soft and hard states. Japan mainly uses soft electrochemical corrosion, while Western Europe mainly uses hard chemical corrosion. Both have their own advantages and disadvantages. The soft state uses aluminum foil with high purity (>99.85%), no copper, excellent quality, and high cost; the hard state uses copper-containing aluminum foil with low purity, low cost, and is easy to improve. In order to develop negative electrode foils with moderate electrostatic capacity, low cost, no copper or low copper, alloys such as Al-Fe and Al-Mg can be used, among which high-purity low-copper aluminum foil is based on high-purity aluminum. By adding a trace amount of copper as the corrosion core, the specific volume is comparable to that of aluminum foil using high-purity soft-state electrochemical corrosion methods, and the cost is low.

Application: It can only be used as aluminum electrolytic capacitors. But capacitors have a wide range of uses.
