5005 Aluminium Sheet

The strength of 5005 aluminum sheet is equivalent to that of 3003, with good weldability and good processability. 5005 aluminum sheet is similar to 3003 alloy, with medium strength and good corrosion resistance. The anodic oxide film is brighter than the oxide film on 3003 alloy, and is consistent with the tone of 6063 alloy

Silicon Si: 0.3 Copper Cu: 0.2 Magnesium
Mg: 0.5～1.1 Zinc Zn: 0.2
Manganese Mn: 0.20 Chromium
Cr: 0.10 Iron Fe: 0.7

Mechanical properties of 5005 aluminum Sheet:

Tensile strength σb (MPa): 100～205
Elongation δ10 (%): 1～8
The annealing temperature of the 5005 alloy is 345°C.

Application of 5005 aluminum Sheet:

Used as conductors, cooking utensils, instrument panels, housings and architectural trim. Building materials, interior and exterior materials, vehicle interior materials, etc.

1. Architectural Applications: Exterior and interior building panels, curtain walls, and cladding.
2. Signage: Due to its excellent corrosion resistance and formability, it's commonly used in signage and display applications.
3. Automotive: Some automotive parts where moderate strength and good corrosion resistance are required.
4. Electrical Enclosures: Good corrosion resistance makes it suitable for outdoor electrical enclosures.
5. Cooking Utensils: Occasionally used in cooking utensils due to its non-reactive nature.
