What is hard anodized aluminum cookware ?
Hard anodized aluminum cookware is made of metal alloy that have undergone an electric treatment on the surface of the metal to form a anti scratch /scratch-resistant oxide layer twice as hard as stainless steel.This not-toxic oxide layer is integral to the metal body and does not peel off with prolonged use .Being non porous ,the anodized surface prevents metal from leaching into food when cooking ,ensure the cookware is safe to use .although not chemical coated with a non-stick layer ,hard anodized cookware can become non stick if heated until suficiently hot before cooking.
