The inside of the aluminum pipe sleeve is coated with a poly moisture retarder that provides an excellent resistance to moisture and has excellent abrasion protection during installation. The Aluminum Jacketing is cut and rolled to fit each size of pipe insulation correctly.  Aluminum insulation jacketing is good for mechanical abuse and for weatherizing exterior pipes. common used alloy for insulation is 1100, 1060, 3003, 3105 and 5005. 3003 is better in anti-rust performance than 1060. Aluminum jacketing is available in Smooth, Stucco Embossed, Corrugated (cross-crimped) finishes, with or without moisture barrier (craft paper and poly surlyn)

kraft paper aluminum roll jacketing laminated with kraft paper, which could prevent galvanic or chemical corrosion caused by contact of dissimilar metals and also soluble salts present in most industrial insulations. Corrugated sheet, smooth sheet, and stucco embossed sheet with kraft paper mositure barrier are all available.
