Aluminum is also widely used in shipbuilding, and the quantity of aluminum used for a large passenger ship is often several thousand tons.

2.The conductivity of aluminum is next to silver, copper and gold, although its conductivity is only 2/3 of copper, the density is only 1/3 of copper, so with the same amount of electricity is only half the quantity of the copper wire. The oxide film on the aluminum surface not only has the ability to resist corrosion, but also has some insulation, so it is widely used in the electrical manufacturing industry, wire and cable industry and radio industry,dry transformer winding.

3.Aluminum is a good conductor of heat. Its thermal conductivity is 3 times larger than that of iron. Aluminum can be used in industry to produce various heat exchangers, heat dissipating materials and cooking utensils.

4.Aluminum has good ductility (its ductility is next to gold and silver). It can be made of aluminum foil with a thickness of 0.01 mm at 100 to 150 degrees. These aluminum foil is widely used for packaging cigarettes, candy, etc., and can also be made of aluminum wire and aluminum strip, and can also roll all kinds of aluminum products.

5.The surface of aluminum is not easily corroded because of its dense oxide protective film. It is often used to make chemical reactors, medical devices, freezing devices, petroleum refining devices, petroleum and natural gas pipelines.

6.The reflective properties of the aluminum plate are also good, the reflection of ultraviolet light is stronger than the silver, the more pure aluminum, the better its reflection ability, so it is often used to make high quality mirrors, such as the solar focus mirror.

7.Aluminum has the sound absorption performance, the sound effect is also good, therefore the broadcasting room, the modern large-scale building indoor ceiling and so on also uses the aluminum.

8.Low temperature resistance, when aluminum is at low temperature, its strength increases without brittleness, so it is an ideal material for cryogenic devices, such as refrigerators, freezers, Antarctic snow vehicles, and hydrogen oxide production devices.
